About Suzy Grinter
Meet the lady behind the words
Suzy Grinter
Word Factory Principal Suzy Grinter’s writing and editing career began at the age of 20 as Group Public Relations Officer for a prominent international brewery based in the United Kingdom. Since then, she has lived in Africa and France and spent seven years in the United Arab Emirates working as right hand to the Associate President of British Petroleum. Concurrently, as a feature journalist, she wrote copiously for the national English language newspapers Gulf News and Emirates News, simultaneously producing regular front page articles in the Gulf News’ weekly colour magazine, Gulf Weekly. She also produced regular media releases in her roles as volunteer for the Red Crescent Society, and founder and chair of the Abu Dhabi Environment Group, working in collaboration with federal government ministers, members of the Royal Family, and the Abu Dhabi Municipality. Regularly interviewed on television and radio, Suzy was a special guest on ABC Radio’s ‘Desert Island Discs’.
Suzy originally established Marlin Coast Secretarial Service in the early eighties. In 1998, on return from the United Arab Emirates, she rebranded the business to Word Factory to reflect the growing portfolio of diverse creative writing and editing capabilities.
With over 40 years in business, Word Factory has never looked better. We service clients from Australia and overseas to help them achieve the best possible results from their writing projects and achieve their vocational dreams.
